And today I...

read.. listened... typed.. and stitched. Talked to Liz.

Got two packages in the mail from My Points, yay! Piglet... all adorable and stuff is for my soon to arrive grandbaby and the shower bag in cucumber melon is for Liz. I also found other stuff to poke in and spend the points I've earned.

Tonight's dinner will be fish fillets and some sort of potatoes. Maybe some veggies to go along with it.

The public area of the house is in decent shape except my office/hobby area. Tom's room needs picking up, but his bathroom isn't bad. I leave Kevin's hobby room alone other than to occasionally pick up trash and dirty dishes, if he leaves any in there.

He moved his computer and painting desks into Liz's old room. It keeps busy fingers, not mine, out of his projects in progress and gives him a cave to retreat to within the climate controlled part of the house. Liz's old stuff is still in there and it causes me to wonder about the things I have left behind at my parents' home. Kevin took the easy chair that matches the sofa in there as a computer desk chair. I wanted to get him a chair like I have for my desk, but he said... why spend the money when this chair will do the job just as well or better. I think he was right... it's his room and he's happy with his little cave, so that's good.

The closet in there mostly holds Liz's old toys and other things that she didn't want to just trash. Sure.. there are probably a lot of those things that could go to Goodwill or be stored in the attic, but it's not like we are in great need of the space. I would like to put up a curtain over the closet. It used to have bifold doors, but over the years, they jumped the tracks, etc. There's a storage space above the closet.

One of these days I'll save enough money for a ticket and car rental to go dig through my old things and dispose of them or rather... redistribute them. The closet has a lot of things like clothes I can't fit in anymore and memorabilia. It's been over 20 years since I lived in that house and I think it would be a good idea for me to at least dump the closet contents unless Dad already did. Mom said that my old room is his TV room. I guess the store room is now her place.

I need to make a list and ask Mom to send me a few things. She wanted to give away some of the plush stuff I have stored away... I think I'm going to write and let her know it's ok to give away almost everything but the kangaroo in the bunch she was asking about. Maybe if I send money for a disposable camera and film processing, she can take pictures of what's in the closet and we can go from there.

7:10 and I'm going to pop Romancing the Stone into the VCR and watch it while I cross-stitch. Tom is not back from school, yet.. I'm somewhat worried, but he's been pulling ye old.. "not come home right after school because yardwork needs doing" stunt this week. He'll be home for dinner and if he's not.. I'll get hold of Chris and see if he's over there.. again.
