Friday Follies ... or Some Other Thing...
Thursday was quite productive. I did all the UHBS, cleaned up not only my desk but the dresser I use for storage in my office corner. I still need to clean out a pile of craft stuff under the small desk that will eventually be a crafting or sewing table, but that has to wait until where the stuff has to go is done. I did get some things put away in the craft cabinets in the garage. I still have a pile of stuff out there to sort through, but the pile is getting smaller. Only one wall o' crap to deal with instead of three.
I seem to be missing a candle mold shaped like a turtle. It's probably buried in the steel cabinet.
Kevin or Tom, one of them, needs to change the light bulbs out front. Too high for me to get to and I really don't want to be out there on a ladder when no one else is here. I also have two that need changing in the ceiling fan over my desk.
Friday's to do list:
UHBS
Taco Cups for dinner. That will use up the last of the hamburger roll I have in the fridge.
Install fan in computer
Shred docs
Pack two boxes for Monday mailing.
Hopefully, get some things sorted in the garage pile. Might take pictures and we can all laugh at the insanity in there!!
Saturday is game day instead of Sunday as Kevin is working. (Which reminds me.. Tom needs to call the crew) Going to do the shopping before they come and need to hit the Class 6 on post for Bailey's and Kahlua. For the non-military people, Class 6 is the old way of referring to a military owned package beverage store.
For the Sims 2 players, my somewhat legacy neighborhood has hit generation 3 in both pets and people. So far, I have only got dogs in the homes. Angelina, the legacy founder's LTW (Lifetime Want) is to raise 20 puppies or kittens. Ambitious little Family Sim she is! She also dropped "have ten children" want into her Wants and Fears. Last time that came up for one of my Sims, she was also a Family Sim and later wanted... yup.. twenty grandchildren. I'm surprised they don't roll a 30 great grandchildren want!
It was interesting to learn that Sims that I had used for cloning (via Sim PE and Sim Surgery) and thought I had deleted were STILL in the character files! Going to have to clear those out.
The standard Sims 2 Legacy has a pile of rules, I figure ... my game, my rules adaptations. Why not? After all, there are several challenges going. Basically, I'm running one custom neighborhood for the Legacy and it's ending up to be several branching ones. The founder, the second generation heiress, their spouses, toddlers and children currently live in the main house. Three of the founder's adult children (two daughters and one son) have moved into their own homes.
The daughters have somewhat "normal" family lives; one husband and one child each. Barbara, twin to Bridget, is a Fortune Sim that has an LTW of wanting to own five top businesses. Belinda is a Popularity Sim; her LTW is to reach the top of the Journalism track.
Their brother, Brendan, is well ... odd. He's a Romance Sim with an LTW of 20 simultaneous lovers. I don't see that happening easily, but who knows?! He has his two girlfriends living in the same house with him and their three children. He apparently likes living dangerously! Some off things in that house, let me tell you! It was the first time EVER that I saw an unmarried Sim pop up a "have a baby" want. I'm going to give him the secondary aspiration of Family. Why? Because he's already doing a good job of taking care of his three daughters, he might as well get the aspiration points!
The second generation heiress, Bridget, is a Family Sim like her mother. She has one child, so far. She's the sort of Sim some players love and others freak out in annoyance over. Her autonomous parenting skills are amazing, but she often gets so attentive that she has "bother the babies" syndrome. Sims have not learned what most people learn within 24 hours with their own child. DO NOT waken a sleeping baby Bridget goes to visit one of her sisters or brother and will take over the care of her nieces. Yes, the third generation is all girls at this point!
More later...

Sadly though, that sim and all my others died with my old computer, so I have to start fresh. My clan matriarch, so to speak, is a college senior living with her sorority sisters at the moment. Her LTW is to have 50 first dates. That should be interesting. O_o

Going to be really interesting when the kids get older as the child Sims cry when they see a parent being unfaithful.
Fifty first dates, wow, is she is going be busy!!
