Something from the Domestic Goddess

If you wash sneakers and don't have a day or two to wait while the dry in the sun, tie the laces of both shoes together in a large knot at the end. Hold the knot and place the shoes inside the door. Close the door and leave the knot hanging outside the dryer. Set the dryer heat on a fairly low setting (so the shoes don't melt) and start the dryer. You can even dry other clothes at the same time. The shoes get dry but they don't bang around the drum.
