The latest insanity...
Jan. 19th, 2003 08:54 pmAccording to one of my local radio stations: some guy is having the producers or whatever of "American Idol" investigated because of age discrimination. Seems age 24 is the cut off and he's too old. Yeesh... what's next, some elderly spinster that wants to run for Miss America?
Another thing that was just toooo much... on Christmas day, I read about Wal-Mart pulling a product from Mattel's Barbie line off their shelves. The ignorance of some of the American public never ceases to amaze me. Some people felt that the pregnant Midge doll would encourage teen pregnancy. Never mind that the doll is advertised as being a part of a traditional family unit, a married couple with a child already.
