George Carlin passed away. He was funny, he was intelligent. He was ... amazing.
And so, as is about right for my house, the plans I set yesterday are already wonky. I've got a kitchen to clean, (but not heavy duty as I planned) the man cave needs to be swept and cleared of trash, the auxiliary bathroom needs cleaning, and I still have laundry that needs doing. I'm going Tomsbad cavern and make sure the floor is cleaned.
I embarrassed my son, today. Since his room looked like a pit, I unplugged his net connection. When he went into his room after the RP session out back, two friends in tow, I went to drop his laundry into his room and found him trying to log into WoW. I told him... you don't have internet service at the moment and won't until you clean your room. He tried to argue, his friends stayed in his room and in the way of him cleaning and me bringing the laundry in.
My husband finally got into the act and asked why they, the two in the bedroom and the other four in the living room were still standing around considering gaming was done for the day AND I had started down the warpath for the second or third time that day. The only one with brain cells was standing by the door ready to run.
If my son had used a brain cell or two, he would have figured out that I was finally fed up and unplugged him. He had the nerve to tell me not to embarrass him in front of his friends that way again. I told him that he wouldn't have had anything to be yelled at about IF he picked up his room. It's not like it takes that long to make the bed, take the trash out, clean up the floor, put the dirty laundry in the hamper and put the clean laundry away.
So, Tuesday, we do a run around with the husband's car. I take him to work, son drops off husband's car. Hopefully, it will be done by the time Tom gets off work. Now, the good thing about that running about and picking up the husband from work is that I can run a fast supper and should have zero trouble settling for RP later in the night! ::Crosses fingers::
