His mother died when he was young.
He is probably the first artist to draw the human anatomy with painstaking details.
His best known works are the statue of David, and the Pieta and the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel:
The Creation of the Heavens, The Creation of Man, The Erythraean Sibyl, and the Fall from Grace..
