Greetings to
Jun. 8th, 2006 01:47 pmThings and Stuff.
Jun. 8th, 2006 11:59 pmWatched a silly romantic comedy starring Hugh Jackman and Ashley Judd called Someone Like You. If the original title of Animal Husbandry was used, I think it would have totally flopped in theaters this is not to say it was a huge hit in the first place, but it's cute. Also watched The Bridges of Madison County; I read the book some time ago and think they stuck to it pretty closely.
Finally finished the Sylvia Browne audio book I was listening to. It had quite a few of those hmmm moments when something she said stuck out. Like the presence of otherworldly beings could be present if things seem to be being moved around. Also finished The Odyssey by Homer.
I am almost finished with Ill-Made Mute and have the following books and movies checked out of the library:
Book on Roses
Book on perennials
A book of dragon patterns
Book 12 of Series of Unfortunate Events
Shadow of a Doubt (Hitchcock)
Shakiest Gun in the West (Don Knotts)
My taste has always been rather eclectic.
Going to finish Ill-Made Mute over the weekend then Book 12 is on tap. After that, I think I'll wait before reading Book II of the Bitterbynde and give Outlander a go..
I pruned the Pink Peace and Summer Snow Rosebushes out front to help deal with the black spot disease. Going to get at the second morning glory and my yellow rose bush early next week.
Wednesday, we went over to the mall and I hit Bath and Body Works for their semi-annual sale. Shower gel was 3 bucks a bottle, can't beat that one, I got cherry blossom and magnolia. Also picked up Honeysuckle body spray, and three aromatherapy lotions. Two of the lotions were the trial size to see if I like the scent. Was thinking about trying the sugar scrubs, but got the pump bottle of Bergamot and Coriander lotion instead. I have the oil and really like the scent.and wish they made a matching shower gel, but no such luck. Also picked up a rubber duck. They were just too cute.
Backdating this for last night and going off to bed.
Edit: Thanks to the observant
ehzoterik, this post was edited. A URL in one of the links was written wrong. I apologize for any strange behavior it caused on friends lists.
