Scams...
Apparently there's a new e-mail scam, possible worm or credit card fraud being sent out. It's in the guise of a letter from eBay "RE: Question for seller -- Item #." They input a new item number on each mailing. In short.. if you don't have an eBay account or don't have items for sale, nuke that mail.
Household Insanity
Over the weekend I went shopping... I spent around 240 for groceries. I finally bought the new ironing board I've needed for months. I got a stand up one instead of a table model. The little one is still fine for craft projects, but since the support bar broke it's not good for pressing shirts anymore. I must say that it's made my life easier already. Shirts now longer look like the Wreck of the Hespris as Nanny used to say.
I made out bills last night and got the usual... "Where'd all the money go" speech." I hate having to show him the same damn bills every month, but like me, he has senior moments with what he refers to as nonessential things.. I just show him the where it went including the entertainment funds. It's usually those and filling the gas tank that are... "Ooooh... I see." Since we eat out only weekends and what I call car days, it's made a big difference in our budget. I take the car to run errands around every other week, so we grab fast food for lunch, usually Subway.
Got home improvement books at the library. Need to get a personal copy of Shelves and Cabinets to plan a project for my son's room. Kind of settled on building a wall unit with a drop down table section to be used as a painting table and folded up when not in use. The unit would be about 9 feet long, need to measure the wall in his room to see which wall it will fit against. Got another book called Shelves, Closets, and Cabinets that shows how to build the wall unit with the fold down table.
Baby Mania
Went a bit crazy at a baby sale at the PX over the weekend, last Friday to be precise. A bunch of stuff was 15% off. I ended up going back to Customer Service on Sunday and asking them to review the items. Turns out that several items that were supposed to be discounted weren't, a matter of around 7.50, but... they also added the gift card that the first clerk forgot to. The woman that attended to my fee adjustment was just great. She reviewed the list and ad, she said the ad was misleading since it said newborn items and the baby in the pic was crawling... so... all the Gerber clothes I had in layway were marked at 15% off. I'm putting aside thing to get her started. Can't afford much and she knows it, but I think a part of my over zealousness is having missed out on the baby shopping for Gabe. Long story.
I did discover that I can get blanket fabric in a Winnie-the-Pooh print at Hobby Lobby. YAY! Time to put my new sewing machine to work! I can use the pattern I have and make the bear on it a Pooh wanna-be. Hobby Lobby doesn't sell terrycloth, but goldish towels will do the trick.
