Seeing your daughter's picture made me tear up. You're right - there are many nameless faces that will be called to defend our country. My heart is with you and your daughter and the others that I don't know.
Thank you, Susan. Those words are greatly appreciated. My husband is in the army, a career veteran preparing to retire next August. He could be called to go if needed as well.
Presently, I'm more worried about my daughter, she's already scheduled to be heading into the Med.
Something in her face reminds me SO much of my husband's baby sister -- who is, curiously enough, stationed at Norfolk. That young eager innocence ....
Okay. I'm going to go hug my own kids for you now.
Tosh is, if FMS isn't eating my brain, barely 18. Memory has totally failed me as to whether or not she's assigned to a ship or not. Me must asketh DG.
I was lead here through Susan... and with all that has happened yesterday... I am glad she lead me to you! Sometimes, I begin to feel that maybe my prayers just won't work... Than, I realize that it's so worth it!! You have touched me, and brought a new light into my soul with your sharing!! I have added you and your Family to my prayers. To see a face, a name and a "unit"... You have touched me! I wish you much peace... and you WILL be in my thoughts!! {{Yellow Rose}}
Every prayer, every good thought means more than words alone can express. It all helps. Thank you so much for your words and prayers. :)
I am amazed, pleasantly so, at the hands being outstretched and the compassion being sent from all over the world. Even if those hands are not physically touchable, the warmth and concern that is being sent via the internet is just awesome.
Cathy!

So, when (notice I'm saying 'when', not 'if') your daughter comes back home... can I marry her? She's boooooooooootiful.
