Saturday, we hit ROTK for the second time. It's one of the few films we all wanted to see. I would have suggested Butterfly Effect, which was playing on Fort Hood, if my husband didn't say.. "Hey, let's go see Lord of the Rings again." I noticed little things this time around.
Friday, I did the double library trip. I still have some books out on crafts. I need to take an hour or so to dig through the craft books at Cove Library, they have a large section on cross-stitch and other crafts. Never know what might spark an idea for a good project. Not to mention that I have several patterns I copied from them years ago that required color coding. That was before the days of computer scanners. I'd rather be guilty of copyright violations in copying a pattern than defacing a library book like some people. Most of those books are out of print and can't be readily found.
I finally got the last promo card, Fatty Bolger, for the Middle Earth CCG. I need two more cards to complete the Limited Edition; Assassin and The Precious. I finished the Unlimited Edition and Dragon sets some time ago.
I have a pile of M:TG card that I keep meaning to go through. After promising to dig through them for
voodoolimbo, I ended up going off to work not long after. That put that search on hold and then I forgot until I was digging through old entries. I hate when I forget and leave people hanging. :/
At the end of the month, I'll have the layaway for Liz's baby paid for. I picked up a pair of size 3/4 maternity pants and mailed them out to her. They are stretch denim and should be good for her to go to work in. They were all of 7 bucks. She was supposed to call on Friday, but didn't. According to Caller ID she called while we were out on Saturday. That just figures... the minute we go out someone calls. I'll try to call her later.
I need to discontinue my so-called full care Medicare payments that's coming out of my disability payment. I see no reason to pay 60 bucks a month when I have Tricare until I turn 65. Amazing... people pay into Medicare for years and have to pay for it after turning 65, too? Ick. Tricare is cheaper, 460 per year for a family as opposed to 720 for an individual under Medicare. Can we say eww? I only get 3600 per year at the moment, which means they take back roughly 1/4 of it for Medicare. I suppose that will change at the 3 year evaluation since I did a trial work period for like 4 months. That 300 will go to pay the IRS debt. Bleah.
Minor notes for today:
I need to remember to look for Sims communities later. I have over four gigs of Sims stuff already, but it's one of the few games I play anymore.
I have a few "dear you" letters to write. I'll probably backdate then and use them to fill in the holes in my journal; I often use quotes and bios info for that. They are quite cleansing, be they good feelings or negative ones.
