I finally finished The Undomestic Goddess. Frankly, if I had been the heroine, I would have sued the law firm and won. You'd have to read the story to get that, but all in all it was a good read. I now have "Remember Me?" by Sophie Kinsella running in the audio.

While on the usually weekend jaunt, I saw the third book in the Appaloosa trilogy, Brimstone was on the shelves. Going to wait on that, though. I still have a pile to look through.

I realized while running through some files that I REALLY need to do a back up to DVD because shit happens.

There's a lot to do around here and I'm just procrastinating. It's a holiday weekend.

Monday ... and what all do I need to do?? Lots of things, but I'm not going to accomplish anything, but reading, I think. This is not a bad thing!

Liz made my day! Her new phone does pictures and video! I now have two of my grandbabies on video! Some days, I love modern technology! :)

I am still getting holiday projects in order. Four projects to do today (Pillow, blanket, locket, and gift box) and hopefully get three large boxes in the mail by Tuesday.

Can't find the tracking receipt for the pictures we sent out to Kevin's mother. Yes.. he sent her picture of the kids and grandkids. It's around somewhere.

I have a letter, some in depth thoughts, a story or two to write. Should be interesting.

Can't sleep, so I write... I suppose babble is a better word for this.

Once Liz's family's things are gone into the mail, I get Jessica's in gear. Some of those things have been purchased, but the handmade things, like the bracelet, need to be done. So.... if you see me on AIM, contact info is open to friends on my profile, feel free to sling an IM, but be warned that I might be slow in answering. Those of you that have done stitchery or any kind of jewelry know that some techniques are tedious.

It's interesting how we change and so do the people around us. So.. things have changed in a particular relationship for the better. Chances are being taken.

For the interested parties, my TDL thing is done for the week, I should be able to RP on Sunday night. RRT is open 10-2 ET unless something goes weird again.

And on the home front... am I the only one who thinks their spouse can sometimes be as clueless as a bunch of the stereotypical Valley Girls that fluff their hair and say... "Like ok... like fer sure... like... uh.... like... I fergot cause I'm an airhead?" Just once I wish Kevin would grasp the concept the rude words are going to get him whacked upside the head. It's called provocation, Brainiac, and it's been standing up in court for years.

So... now I can sleep.

I need to clarify something. I am not contemplating suicide and apologize for any misunderstanding that occurred over my post that discussed the subject. I will say this... Life is not a video game, we don't get a save game feature. It'd be nice, but it's not going to happen. In the world of RP  (role playing), we are sometimes allowed what are called do overs. People, while we might be lucky enough to get another chance at something in life, there are no guarantees, so fix it while you have a chance. Once it's too late, it's too late and no amount of kicking, screaming, whining, etc. will change that. And it's too late when someone is dead. Unless you are someone like Allison DuBois, you need to accept that and find your own peace.

All this has made me wonder what is going to be thought of the words have written and will one day, hopefully in the far far future, not be around or explain or defend it. It's like when a dear friend was cleaning out after a relative passed was wondering why some of the things were there. My family already knows I'm somewhat eccentric, ok, a lot eccentric, so I expect they will be wondering as well.

Sent Tom out to run a few errands. He's off to a grand start... he left the uniform, that he was supposed to drop off at the cleaners, on the rocking chair. Irony... you have to pass it to get out the door.

4:44 PM

He arrived back at the house with receipts in hand and all jobs done except the cleaner drop off.. which is not so bad. He can drop it off on his way to church tomorrow.

So, I'm going to attempt to use shrink wrap.  I have come to the conclusion that I need a new hair dryer. Then again... the heat required to do the shrink wrap might just be sending the poor thing into fits.

9:04 PM

Thought for a while there that I was going to be shrink wrapping me. Got it together though.

So, sent out a couple of things, rather, I had Tom do it. Two envelopes went off to PA, one to IL, and small box is on its way to the southeastern tip of the US.

While he's at church tomorrow I can probably get the binding for Logan's blanket pinned if not sewn. I still need to scale the pictures for the locket and put it on the chain. That will complete the box for Liz and her family.

This week at Hobby Lobby, I need to find a heart shaped hole punch for the pictures. Also need to look into frames.

I need to get out in the the yard today with Tom and get the trash picked up. Tomorrow, I think will be a bigger scale run. Saturday, I might get to digging in the garage. Don't know yet.

This should be the last major yardwork out front before winter sets in. I want to get the backyard done, too, but right now it's one step at a time. I have to do things that way. If I plan in small packages, I get more done.

4:16 PM

Tom and I tackled the large section of front yard. The trash from the windstorm yesterday is cleaned up. The rosebushes are now pruned and have been made ready for winter. The flower beds have been remulched, restoned, and the frames reset. One of the trellises has been put in the ground. When the morning glories come in on that side next year, they will have plenty of wooden to wrap up on without getting into the shutters.

Tomorrow, we will get out there, tackle the tree and try to put up the other trellis. Also need to get the trash out of the backyard that blew around from the storm.

Tomorrow or Saturday, I think I'll go shopping. Seems my straight pins have all gone missing. Go figure.

11:30 PM

There are a lot of craft projects on my to do list. I started preparing the box for Liz and her family. The folding table in my living room is going to be filled up with packing boxes soon. Be easier to pack as I go.
