I managed to get a couple of pieces up in [livejournal.com profile] navarra. One is pretty much fluff, the other has to do with the Great Redcap Hunt. Looks like the main battle should finally get cracking, I hope.

A friend recently posed the question.. .what's wrong with people? I read something that made me wonder the same thing.
Those of you that are animal lovers will be sickened and angered by this: 2 teens get 10 years in tortured puppy case Brothers receive little sympathy from judge.More on this story. )

And in the hoorah for my old school dept: Mystery Ailment Strikes Honeybees. Penn State has discovered a disease that's killing honey bees. This is good and bad. Good that it's been found and might be stoppable, bad news that it exists at all.

So... Seems I have more reading to do. Finally getting started on Outlander. Several of my friends have had good things to say about the series and thanks of one of them, I have the first four to read. I started the first and had trouble putting it down, that's a good thing.

I got different reading glasses and they seem to explain why I was having trouble reading of late. One of those DUH things, I suppose.

Been doing quite a bit of writing for the Great Redcap Hunt, which has picked up a whole lot of speed after being at a lull for sometime. I'm glad of it, because I needed the stimulation to get going again. Let's face it, writers need stimulation for their work or their hobby depending on how you look at things.

I spend a lot less time online than I used to. Might not seem that way to some people because they see one of my names logged into AIM, etc., but being logged in and running about picking up the house to do laundry, cook, and other things isn't quite the same as sitting on my ass and staring at the screen every waking hour of the day like I used to. I guess I hit a point where I realized that just because other people were online didn't mean they didn't have specific purposes for their online time.

I think I also hit a point where I realized there is far more to life than staring at a freaking computer screen and waiting to be amused, entertained or talked to by someone else.  I have Sims, Sims 2, and The Movies to be entertained by a machine.

I need to get up by 9:30 to get Liz at the airport. Gah... I can still get like 5 hours sleep

Added a few pieces to The Great Redcap Hunt. Nothing major, mostly to get myself back on track before company arrives. Writing Diana is getting easier. Somehow, it's appropriate what the character has evolved into considering that that Diana is the goddess of the hunt.

Was hoping to get another piece up for Rhi but my brain just isn't cooperating on it at the moment. Writing events leading up to this birth is almost as befuddling as some actual births are. Maybe befuddling is the wrong word. I seem to be having translation from brain to finger issues. I see this picture in my head and can't quite get it into words. It's like something else is trying fly past it. I still have a couple of stories that need work. Maybe they are trying to bull their way out.

Anyway... winds rising outside, tornado watch in effect. Going to dreamland. Night night.

I need to call my parents tonight as it's their 46th wedding anniversary.

I packed the soap and candles that are going to Liz. Still need to pick out something for Chris and paint the bags for Liz. Didn't think to take digital pics of the rose shaped soap. However, I have more in the works and am installing the photo software.

Jess called yesterday. Said she was sorry for being a bad daughter. She remembers Mother's Day and my birthday every year. In fact, all of my kids do. More on Jess later.

My personal goal for NaNoWriMo is 25000 words by the end of the month.

I have a post in mind for the Redcap SL, but the last few times I tried to post it, my computer went nuts. That was the video card. Today we seem to be having minor power blips.  It's not just my computer because the lights blip, too.

Need to make a store run for bread, applesauce and a few other things. Going to do Hamburger Helper or something else fast for dinner might cook when we get back from the store and leave Kevin's food to be warmed in the microwave.
